PRINCETON — Princeton Senior High School girls’ basketball team got a win over rival PikeView High School.
The Lady Tigers have been up and down over the past week and a half of the season but in typical rivalry fashion Princeton always comes to play. The Lady Tigers matched up with PikeView and got a 51-43 win. It was a strong win for Princeton which put them at seven wins on the season.
Taylor Scott went for 20 points during the game in a strong performance she is no stranger to. Scott has been playing at a high level all year for a young Princeton team. Of her 20 points she hit four three pointers. Laken Dye added 14 points and nine rebounds for Princeton as she continues to improve game by game while Kylie Conner added ten points.
For PikeView, Laken MicKinney led the way with 22 points. They are 7-6 on the season and have been working to find some consistency. Princeton has been working to find some consistency as well but they have shown potential of what they are capable of having three win streaks on the season of at least two games.
After the win over PikeView Princeton would run into some very tough opponents in Woodrow Wilson High School and Greenbrier East High School in which they took a loss. However, Princeton continues to build and is continuing to work hard to just continue to add the experience under their belt as a young group.
The Lady Tigers are home tonight against River View with tip off at 3 p.m. They will then travel to Ripley and Shady Springs before returning home next week to face Riverside at 7 p.m.
