PRINCETON — The Princeton Senior High School baseball teams finished their season with two losses in the sectional tournament.

Last week the Tigers were able to compete in two post season games facing off against Greenbrier East High School and Riverside High School. after taking a 9-3 loss to Greenbrier then was shut out 0-6 by Riverside to end their season.

Against Greenbrier East Princeton jumped out to an early lead going up 3-0 before Greenbrier East scored eight runs in the last two innings to win the game. Zach Powell and Kamran Cantrell handled pitching duties that game with Powell taking the loss. He struck out eight and allowed six hits in his five innings that he pitched. A.J Jenkins had the highlight of the game with a home run for Princeton.

However, in their next game against Riverside it was even tougher sledding for the Tigers as they were shut out 10-0. Against Riverside back in March Princeton played a close game only losing 1-3. DJ Bailey, Tristian Shrewsbury and Cantrell shared pitching duties with Bailey being credited for the loss on the mound. Princeton finished their season with a 10-24 record.
