P-Rays 9, Braves 0

The Princeton Rays swept a two-game set from the Danville Braves and took over the lead in the East Division with a 9-0 victory.

The P-Rays scored two runs in the first and added a run in the second inning.

After adding a run in the second innings, they put two more on the board in the sixth inning.

The P-Rays scored one more in the seventh and three in the ninth to run the final score to 9-0.

Tyree Hayes limited the Braves to three hits in six innings, while Justin Garcia and Michael Southern allowed just one hit.

Princeton had 16 hits to only five for the Braves.

Benjamin Humphrey drove in two runs in a 3 for 4 day. The P-Rays had three triples, one each by Humphrey, Omar Luna and Jedd Carroll.

Eli Sonoqui was 2 for 4, Justin Reynolds was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI.



P Rays 8, Braves 1

The Princeton P-Rays ran their winning streak to 6-0 with an 8-1 win over the Braves at Danville.

Jeremy Hall allowed three hits and struck out four in six innings, earning his second win of the season.

Chris Fessler worked the last 1 1/3 innings and earned his second save.

Omar Luna ended the night 4 for 5, while Biell was 3 for 5.

The P-Rays finished the game with an 8-4 record to lead the East Division of the Appy League.
