PRINCETON — The Princeton Senior High School girls’ basketball season opened up the season with two consecutive wins.

Coming into this season coach Tracy Raban knew she would have a young group with this Princeton team. However, they have started the season off strong picking up two wins against Bluefield High School and Bland High School. it was a good start to the season for the Lady Tigers to be able to build some momentum. They used a strong second half to propel themselves to a win.

Princeton opened up the season against Bluefield High School which was a strong game for the Lady Tigers. There were plenty familiar faces on the court that night as former boys’ coach Ernie Gilliard was on the sideline for the girls’ team over at Bluefield.

In the game against Bland, Taylor Scott led the way for the Lady Tigers putting up 22 points with Laken Dye following that up with 14 points. It is a good start for the Lady Tigers who still believe they have work to do but have done some good things through the first few games of the season to build off of going forward.
