PRINCETON — The Princeton Senior High School boys’ soccer team had five players earn postseason honors.
In the midst of a tough season the Princeton Senior High School boys’ soccer team was able to find a way to get recognized for their team play and individual play. Princeton lost in the first game of sectionals, but it didn’t take away from what they could make of their season.
Ben Broyles was a second team all-state selection as well as a first team all-region selection. Logan Metz, Mason Bolten, Mohamed Shanan and Casey Geo were all second team all-region selections.
Coach Robbie Fix feels like this season will have prepared his players for things beyond sports.
“I think we hope we don’t have to repeat a season like this again,” Fix said. “I think the kids have learned a lot of lessons from a season like this and life in general. I feel like this season will have prepared them for anything they may take on in life.”
With what they have returning for next season the Tigers hope they can have a normal off-season and a normal season under their belts as they look to continue to improve. Princeton will graduate six seniors from this season and they will do so closing out their high school soccer experience in maybe the most unusual year of their lives.
