The Bluefield Beavers took an 11-1 win over the Mt. View Golden Knights.

Mt. View was to meet the Iaeger Cubs on Wednesday for the right to face the Beavers on Thursday.

If the Beavers won the Thursday match-up, they would have earned the right to advance to the Regional tourney on Tuesday.

The Beavers used a stellar pitching performance by Ben Goss on Tuesday night to advance to the sectional winners bracket.

Goss gave up only five hits, struck out seven and walked only two in the six innings.

Jake Lilly, a freshman, is 6 of 7 in the two sectional games with four RBIs and a home run.
