PRINCETON — There is a new beauty salon in downtown Princeton, offering a variety of hair styling services, as well as products, in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Laura Anglin, co-owner of Ooh La La Family Hair Salon LLC, opened the business on 1344 1/2 Mercer St. in Princeton on Nov. 5 with her fiancé and co-owner Garrett Patterson. Anglin has 12 years of experience as a stylist. She wanted to open a salon that was drama free and kid friendly, and give her the opportunity to put her family first.
Anglin has a full clientele that she has gained over the years and she said it was her customers who helped push her to open her own salon.
At Ooh La La Family Hair Salon Anglin offers a variety of services including cuts for women, men and children, color, extensions, and formal updos. She also said she would like to offer nail services in the near future and hopes to later expand her store to include a tanning salon.
Anglin loves seeing happy customers when she turns them around in the chair to see the finished result.
“I just love the wow factor,” she said.
The salon also sells a full line of styling products from Paul Mitchell and Rich, a brand from France. They also sell styling tools like flat irons.
Anglin said she is enjoying the business and is looking forward to expanding in the future. Though she had customers when she opened the salon, she is also gaining new clientele and is accepting new customers.
One thing that Anglin said sets the salon apart is they are open on Mondays while some other salons are not. She also said she stays open for longer hours so people who work during the day can come in after work.
Ooh La La Family Hair Salon is open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The business can be reached at 304-888-2544.
