Princeton Christmas Parade looking for participants

PRINCETON – With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginia’s is gearing up for the annual Princeton Christmas Parade on November 30.

Occurring at 6 p.m., the parade sees hundreds of guests come to enjoy the festive event. This year’s parade, entitled “A Silver-Screen Christmas” is welcoming registration to celebrate your favorite Christmas movie and more, according to a release from the Chamber.

The route of the parade will follow in the annual path from 5th Street, down Mercer Street, to East Main Street. For floats and participants wishing to be judged, there is a fee of $25, for guests not wishing to be judged it is free of charge, the release said.

For bands seeking to participate a $100 donation will be made, by Community Connections, to aid in the transportation of members and equipment. The parade committee is made of the Chamber, volunteers, Princeton City Fire Department, the Princeton City Police Department, and Princeton city officials.

Applications will be available on October 14 at www.coctwovirginias.com.
