GLENWOOD — Visiting a pet store with your family is an unforgettable experience, especially when you walk out with an additional member. Purchasing a new friend will add fond memories that will last forever.

For nearly 30 years, since January 1990, Personal Touch Pet Store at 118 Needham Point has been providing that experience for its customers

Co-owner Kari Patton said Tuesday, “We sell fish, birds, reptiles and other small animals, plus we have an outdoor pond center.”

The family-owned and operated business, she added, works to make the customers feel at home when they come there.

As for the outdoor pond center, she explained “We have over 300 fish and plants there. We sell pond plants, koi fish and goldfish.”

In addition to the items for sale, Patton said the store has a couple of special attractions.

“We have an albino Burmese python which weighs about 20 pounds and an alligator named ‘Bob’ that people come by to see,’ she said.

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The phone number is 304-487-0742.
