PRINCETON — There is an old saying about thinking outside the box.

One local business, the Outside Of The Box Room Escape in the Princeton Shopping Center, actually uses that cliché to good effect as its challenges and inspires families, businesses and other organizations to do “outside the box” thinking.

Owner Jamie Crews, who took over the business on Jan.1, said Friday, “It’s a fun team-building total room game for families and businesses. Participants have to work as a team to solve puzzle clues within a 60-minute period to escape. Players are locked in a room and have to use their imagination and teamwork to solve a series of puzzles from clues found around the room to escape.”

The business itself, she said, serves as a bonding experience for her own family. “It’s great because we can do something as a family. It’s a family-run business and we enjoy doing it,” she added.

She said the business would be doing kid-oriented “escape rooms” in the near-future.

“We’re open Wednesdays through Saturdays and do business by reservation only. Anyone interested can contact us at our web site, http://www.escapewv.com or go to our Facebook page or call us at 681-282-5369,” she said.

The business is located next to Angelo’s Pizza in the Princeton Shopping Center.
