PRINCETON — A round of COVID-19 vaccinations this month for students ages 16 and up and their parents is be readied at a Mercer County clinic.
The Bluestone Health Center at 3997 Beckley Road near Princeton will be using the Pfizer vaccine against COVID19 on April 10, according to Sherry Agnew, chief financial officer with the Bluestone Health Care Association, Inc.
Preparations started when the Mercer County Board of Education contacted the health association about doing COVID19 testing for seniors prior to the high school proms, Agnew said. Then arrangements were started for vaccinating students and their families.
The vaccinations will be by appointment, she said.
“The board of education has sent out emails to staff, students and parents to compile a list and have them contacting us directly, and we are making appointments,” Agnew stated.
Appointments will likely start about 9 or 10 a.m. the morning of April 10 with vaccinating about 60 people at a time, Agnew said. Appointments will be made until the schedule is full.
Students and parents seeking COVID-19 vaccinations can use the email address sagnew@bluestonewv. org to contact Agnew about appointments. Agnew can also be contacted at 681-282-5628.
