PRINCETON — Guests are welcome to explore their artistic creativity, through pottery glazing, at Artistic Adventures.

Located on Mercer Street, guests have the opportunity to select a pottery piece and paint the glaze on it to their liking. With a plethora of glazes, tools, and choices, guests can delve into their creations.

“We have an art corner here now. It really started with the Riff Raff and now it’s expanded with Hammer and Stain and us. Arts are really important to the community,” manager Tiffany Freed, said.

From dinnerware to figurines there are many pottery options. Whether keepsakes of gifts the items offer a one of a kind experience.

“You have so many people that don’t think they can do this. Then they come in and say ‘Oh, this is easy. Oh, I love this. Oh, I want to keep doing this,’ In my experience art is an outlet and it’s a tool. This is a way to make it accessible to the masses,” Freed said.

The business offers a variety of ways to experience the artistic atmosphere. Artistic Adventures offers open paint times, workshops for certain projects, and private parties.

Private party reservations can be made on their website at

“The vision that I and the owner have is to expand. We have a room upstairs that we want to have four pottery wheels in so people can make their own pottery and then paint it,” Freed said.

This will open guests up to a new medium of art that they may not have prior experience with. The goal of the business, according to Freed, is to make art accessible to any and all people that want to experience it.

Another part of the vision includes an experimental art room where patrons are able to “make a mess” and play with various art forms.

“I’m so looking forward to expanding in the future with Artistic Adventures. Like how you’d go to a rafting company and do adventures but with art,” Freed said.

Those wishing to visit Artistic Adventures the open paint hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and Saturday from noon to nine.

“Our hours are so we have lots of hours for the rest of the week for private parties or hopefully to eventually fill that with other activities,” Freed said.
