Food Truck Frenzy

PRINCETON — Residents, guests, performers, and vendors, are gearing up for the first annual Food Truck Frenzy on Saturday, with advance ticket sales ending on Friday.

At the event, food trucks from in and out of the area will fill the parking lot of the Chuck Mathena Center to offer guests a plethora of foods. Aside from the food, well-known performers will also be in attendance.

The advance tickets cost $10 each and can be bought at the Chuck Mathena Center box office or online at 304-425-5128. Purchase of the general admission ticket is separate from all food and beer purchases. Admission tickets for the day of will increase by five dollars totaling to $15 per ticket. Children under twelve do not require a ticket purchase.

Admission is cash only on the day of the event.

Headlining the event is the famous Blue Oyster Cult, and Hinder. Many other acts will also be performing at the event including bands such as Mad Souls, Eto, Smile Empty Soul, and more.

For the safety of the event, the Chuck Mathena Center is instilling a clear bag policy, which requires guests only carry clear bags and that these bags follow size restrictions. The clear bag can be no bigger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a Ziploc gallon bag. Guests are also allowed to carry a small clear clutch bag with dimensions of 6.5" x 4.5". Parking for the event can be done at BB&T, Princeton Primary School, Princeton High School, and Hunnicutt Stadium. Gates will open at 10:45 a.m.

At the event, the beer garden, which allows guests to purchase beer sampling tickets will open at 2 p.m. General beer tickets will be $20 which gives guests 8 beer samples, while the VIP tickets, at $30, gives guests 10 beer samples.

Food trucks for the event will be open and ready for business from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and some accept credit cards. There will be an ATM within the venue. There will also be a designated smoking area and guests are asked to only smoke within that area.

According to the Chuck Mathena Center schedule, the line up is as follows: Emmalea Deal at 11 a.m., Coldville at 12:40 p.m., Von Kaiser at 1:30 p.m., Lullwater at 2:20 p.m., Black Oxygen at 3:10 p.m., Jasmine Cain at 4 p.m., Smile Empty Soul at 5 p.m., Mad Souls at 6 p.m., Eve to Adam at 7 p.m., Hinder at 8 p.m., and Blue Oyster Cult at 9:30 p.m.
