AMHERST, Va. — The Bluefield State Golf team participated in the Lynchburg Invitational and finished 4th as a Team and had 2 Individuals finish in the top 10 at the Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va.

The team did a great job, finishing 4thout of 10 teams and shooting 311 on Day 1 and 323 on Day 2 for a 634 total.

Individually, Sophomore J. T. Lester (pictured) finished 4th with a 75 and 77 for 152. This is the highest J.T has finished all season, finishing 4th out of 58 players. Junior Karson Terry finished 9th with a 77 and 79 for a 156. This is also the highest finish Karson has had this year as well.

Sophomore Kirk Collins finished T17 with a 78 and 83 for a 161 total. Freshman Jared Porter finished T29 with a 82 and 84 for a 166 total and Sophomore Justin Mariotti finished T42 with a 81 and 91 for a 172.

The Big Blues look to continue their good play in their next tournament on April 2-4 at the Roanoke College Invitational at the Ballyhack in Roanoke, Va.
