Tigers soccer teammates roar to state recognition

PRINCETON — The action on the soccer field may have stopped, but the accolades are still rolling in for Princeton Senior High School’s soccer standouts.

In All-State recognition, Lady Tigers defense specialist Jessica Inman garnered first-team honors.

Inman was also recognized as Class AAA Defender of the Year, and she’ll represent Princeton in the All-Star North v. South games next weekend.

Sticking with All-State rosters, Shaylah Walls, who plays offense, received honorable mention, as did Laken Autrey, who plays at midfield.

Princeton also fielded several All-Mountain State Athletic Conference players who attracted attention.

The All-MSAC first team featured Inman on defense and sophomore Amanda Barrett on offense. The second team touted Walls, a junior, on offense, and Autrey at midfield.

Special honorable mention went to Victoria Billips, at midfield, and Ashley Culicerto garnered honorable mention.

Girls coach Michelle Dye was named the MSAC Coach of the Year.

On the boys’ side of play, senior Austin Smith, scored second-team All-State honors at midfield. Bo Williams, also a senior, garnered honorable mention on defense.

William Hickman, a junior midfielder, earned All-MSAC honorable mention, and junior defensive player Perry Stafford brought home special honorable mention from the MSAC.
