Citizen of the Year Nominations now being accepted

PRINCETON — The General Hugh Mercer Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, West Virginia Society, is now accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year in Mercer County. Nominees must live in Mercer County and will have positively impacted life and culture in Mercer County. The award consists of a bronze good conduct medal and a certificate.

If you are interested in nominating a Mercer County resident for Citizen of the Year, send the person’s name, address, phone number, and a descripton of why you are nominating that person, including any photographs or articles, to the General Hugh Mercer Chapter, SAR - ATTN: Awards Committee - P.O. Box 1846, Princeton, WV 24740. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number. One need not be well known to be nominated. Deadline for accepting nominations is Jan. 31, 2013.
