The Princeton Public Library is looking for volunteers. Anyone interested is asked to stop by the library and fill out a volunteer registration form. Or go online to http://princetonlibrarywv.com/ and download a copy and send it to Princeton Public Library, 920 Mercer Street, Princeton, WV 24740.
All volunteer applications will be reviewed and applicants will be contacted is a position is available which matches their interests and skills.
Throughout September, National Library Card Sign-Up Month, Princeton Public Library will host the Coolest Card Competition. Children who visit the library and apply for a new card, obtain a replacement card, or show their current library card during the month will receive a special treat and be counted toward their school’s number of registered library cardholders.
At the end of the month, the school with the largest percentage of its student body that has obtained cards or showed their card at the library will receive a special banner proclaiming them the winners of the 2012 Coolest Card Competition.
